Course Outline


The yoga home study program is composed of Four Modules.

  • Module 1: Covers the material covered in the Rahini Yoga Teacher Training Manual Level 1. Topics include:
    • Overview of Yoga
    • Rahini Yoga Basics
    • Health Benefits of Yoga
    • Yoga Safety, Injury and Protection
    • Basic Anatomy; Respiratory System
    • Creating a Yoga Class
    • Yoga Core Awareness & Anatomy
    • Level 1 Yoga Breathing Techniques
    • Level 1 Yoga Poses & Alignment
  • Module 2: Covers the material covered in the Rahini Yoga Teacher Training Manual Level 2. Topics include:
    • Philosophy of the Rahini Yoga Posture
    • Principles of the Rahini Yoga Posture
    • Basics for the Rahini Yoga Posture
    • Basic Lower Extremity Anatomy
    • Basic Understanding of the Spine
    • Level 2 Yoga Breathing Exercises
    • Level 2 Yoga Poses and Alignment
  • Module 3: Covers the material covered in the Rahini Yoga Teacher Training Manual Level 3. Topics Include:
    • Bandhas Introduced
    • Yoga Props
    • Y.A.S.A. Healing Technique; Energy Systems
    • Basic Anatomy
    • Art & Skill of Teaching Rahini Yoga
    • Level 3 Breathing Techniques
    • Level 3 Yoga Poses
  • Module 4:
    • Yoga Readings
    • Philosophy of Yoga
    • Final Examination- As part of the final examination, the student will be required to submit photographs of her or himself performing 8 yoga poses, chosen from a list of eight separate yoga pose categories
    • Completion of the Yoga Home Study Program
  • Module 5: OPTIONAL:
    • While not compulsory, The Rahini Yoga Institute strongly recommends the student attend the "Basic Rahini Yoga Weekend Workshop Intensive."
