500-Hour Yoga Teacher Certification Program

  • Our program is designed for the yoga student who has already successfully completed a Yoga Alliance approved 200-hour teacher training program. Therefore, only 300 additional hours are required to fulfill the 500 hour teacher certification program.
  • The yoga program is designed in such a way that the student will be able to complete the 300-hour course of study within a 2 to 3 year period. With the assistance of the Program Directors, each student will develop a schedule of yoga participation that will meet the 300 hour requirements. The necessary hours are facilitated through various yoga workshops, assistant yoga teaching and yoga study assignments.

Note: In addition to the 300 hours, each student is required to teach 100 hours of Rahini Yoga. The student fulfills these hours in two ways:

   1) Assistant teach or teach at the 200-Hour Level Rahini Yoga Workshops.
   2) Assistant teach or teach at the Yoga for Life Center in Setauket, New York.

These hours must be 1) approved by both the Program and Yoga for Life Center Directors and, 2) recorded and submitted to Yoga Alliance upon completion of the 500 Hour Program.

Graduates of the 200-Hour Rahini Yoga Program can immediately begin fulfilling their required 100 teaching hours by assisting at the 200-Hour Level Rahini Yoga Workshops.
